We kindly inform you that as of 25 May 2018, Regulation (EU) of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of personal data of natural persons (“GDPR”) has been in force. Its purpose is to enhance the security of your personal data.

In connection with the above – regardless of Manta S.A. fulfilling its information obligation each time data is collected – we present to you information regarding the principles governing the processing of your personal data, as well as your rights in connection with the use of our services.

1. Who is the controller of your personal data

The controller of personal data is Manta S.A., with its registered office in Warsaw at ul. Bardowskiego 10, entered into the Register of Entrepreneurs of the District Court for the capital city of Warsaw in Warsaw, 13th Commercial Division of the National Court Register under KRS number: 0000447569, NIP: 524-24-42-106, REGON: 017519803,

hereinafter referred to as the “Company”.

2. How you can contact us

3. From whom we obtained your personal data

We obtained your personal data directly from you when you created an account on the manta.com.pl website, including through the complaint handling system available there, as well as later when you used the online store. Additionally, we receive information about you from our business partners (entities from whom you can purchase goods directly) and from payment operators (entities that enable you to make online payments for goods purchased from our partners). From them we receive your data such as information about concluding a contract with the partner (acceptance of your offer).

4. Purpose and legal basis for processing your personal data

We are entitled to process your personal data because it is necessary to perform the contract concluded between us or to pursue our legitimate interests, for the purposes of:

  • enabling you to use services provided electronically, including full use of the manta.com.pl store and account activation;
  • enabling you to create and manage your account and monitor orders and their history;
  • granting a trade credit limit;
  • enabling transactions within manta.com.pl;
  • allowing you to submit opinions, reviews, or comments;
  • enabling payment processing;
  • enabling participation in bonus programs;
  • handling complaints submitted by you regarding services provided via manta.com.pl;
  • handling inquiries and requests submitted by you;
  • contacting you, particularly in matters related to service provision;
  • terminating the agreement for electronic services, including account closure;
  • handling complaints regarding Manta products.

Legal regulations require us to process your data for tax and accounting purposes. We may also process your data based on our legitimate interest for the purposes of:

  • analyzing and managing your activity on manta.com.pl to tailor services and content to your preferences;
  • organizing loyalty programs and competitions;
  • performing technical activities and resolving technical issues related to server administration;
  • conducting marketing of our own services;
  • preparing general statistics regarding the use of manta.com.pl;
  • debt collection;
  • conducting court, arbitration, and mediation proceedings;
  • ensuring payment services;
  • ensuring security and integrity of services, including fraud prevention;
  • tailoring advertisements based on previously viewed content;
  • contacting you, including for permitted marketing activities;
  • conducting statistical analyses;
  • archiving data and ensuring accountability.

Data is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(b), (c), and (f) of the GDPR.

The Company may also process your personal data based on your consent for the purposes of:

  • organizing competitions;
  • publishing your comments regarding purchases;
  • storing data in cookies;
  • collecting data from websites and mobile applications.

You may withdraw your consent at any time in the same way it was given. We will process your data until consent is withdrawn.

With separate consent, your data may also be processed for sending commercial information electronically or for direct marketing calls.

5. To whom we may transfer your personal data

Your data may be transferred to entities cooperating with the Company (partners, payment operators, online services, authorized Manta service providers, transport companies), as well as entities supporting electronic services and marketing activities.

In case of delivery, data may be shared with postal operators and carriers solely for delivery purposes.

Public authorities may receive your data only when legally authorized.

6. Data retention period

Personal data related to purchases will be processed for the time necessary to complete transactions and cooperation, and then archived for the limitation period (10 years). Tax-related data is stored for 5 years. Marketing data is processed until consent is withdrawn.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict processing, transfer data, object, and withdraw consent at any time.

If you believe data processing violates GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

8. Right to erasure

You have the right to request deletion of your data at any time, except where processing is required by law or for public interest tasks.

9. Data protection

The Company applies appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data.

10. Is providing data mandatory

Providing data is voluntary but necessary to establish cooperation, place orders, make purchases, or submit complaints. Without it, these actions are not possible.

11. Profiling

The controller may use automated decision-making, including profiling based on cookies, but it will not produce legal effects or significantly affect your situation. Details are in the “Cookies Policy”.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are IT data, particularly text files stored on users’ devices. They allow recognition of the user’s device and appropriate display of the website. Cookies usually contain the website name, storage time, and a unique number.

Cookies generally do not identify individuals, but due to data protection standards, appropriate safeguards are applied. They do not negatively affect devices.

2. Purpose of cookies
